The real reasons why so many entrepreneurs burn out (or almost do) and how to change it NOW
Maybe it’s just the company I keep (I keep really great company, btw, YOU’RE here, right?😉💕), but I’ve been noticing a lot of themes and deja vu conversations this year more than ever.
And I want to share them with you lest you start to think this is only you and something’s wrong with you. (Lest? Proof I’ve been watching Outlander…let’s go with it)
So today I want to share some themes of what I’ve been hearing lately…
Feeling unsure about the direction you want to take your work in, and just not quite knowing what you REALLY WANT. All that not knowing is making you want to just curl up with your cat (dog, hamster, partner, ice cream, netflix) rather than take action because which action makes sense for your “I don’t know” energy anyway?
Doing SO MUCH FREAKING WORK in your marketing, with very little traction or results (aka $$$$) to show for it, and feeling like you honestly don’t know what to do next.
Feeling annoyed, disillusioned, out of alignment with what you're seeing on social media and not really wanting to be a part of it. BUT also not wanting/needing to create a whole new strategy and “start over”
Feeling overwhelmed with all of your client work, so how in the world can you ALSO keep your marketing strategy alive and create a healthy pipeline for next quarter? Feast or famine is real, and it’s stressing you out.
First off, if one or more of those resonate, you are not alone and it’s not just you.
AND, let’s not make this a self-fulfilling prophecy that this is your lot in business…K?
Secondly, any one of these feelings or experiences can put you on the path to:
😿burnout
😿burning it all down
😿feeling like you have to start over or try a whole new strategy (again)
(As a coach who has actually helped clients to burn it all down and rebuild - strategically, when it actually makes sense – let me tell you, MOST people DO NOT need to burn it all down.)
Even if you’re not on the path to burnout, it can FEEL pretty similar (aka be a symptom of burnout).
And if it becomes a longer-term pattern it’s not going to make you feel like you can sustain this business as it is for very long. Which is DEFINITELY something to pay attention to.
Lucky for you, this is something I’m really good at.
On this Think Differently, I’m diving deeper into the 3 things that I see are some of the biggest, most common root causes that create burnout symptoms for entrepreneurs and things you can DO right away to get back into actually enjoying your business and making more money.
